I'm not proud of it, but I thrived on verbal battles (aka fighting)for most of jr high / high school. I think looking back and reflecting on what a feeling of not being chosen did to you is a hard, but valuable thing. I remember when I came out on the other side of the hurt, I felt kind of free (and though I felt bad about what had happened previously) I knew that I didn't have to relate to people like that any more.Skookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08561981284201416183noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25622507.post-82866760561018546192009-02-16T12:45:00.000-06:002009-02-16T12:45:00.000-06:00The first step forward is self-discovery...and you...The first step forward is self-discovery...and you are there in a big way. It's so hard to look at ourselves so honestly but I believe it leads to a freedom we've never known...stay on this path my friend. Its a vicious cycle.

For me creating trusting close relationships gets harder and harder as I get older.

I'm sorry you're having such a hard time finding a pair of jeans.Brenda Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12647044013706467850noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25622507.post-73306965029068566882009-02-14T20:53:00.000-06:002009-02-14T20:53:00.000-06:00i am so glad you are so honest here, jana. what y...i am so glad you are so honest here, jana. what you explained is not all that uncommon, and i, too, have struggled with feeling that way many times. i was always the 'left out' one growing up, and only recently have i gotten 'over' it and jumped right into relationships that are sooooo meaningful to me now. it's scary, but worth it. thank you for sharing your heart!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25622507.post-78903854562254413432009-02-14T11:19:00.000-06:002009-02-14T11:19:00.000-06:00I think we all struggle with rejection for one rea...I think we all struggle with rejection for one reason or the other. Someone once shared this verse with me...

For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ - Galatians 1:10

It put things in perspective for me.Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17663398023708783935noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25622507.post-39287802472542021992009-02-13T15:58:00.000-06:002009-02-13T15:58:00.000-06:00ahhh, I love your realness and honestly have a har...ahhh, I love your realness and honestly have a hard time finding it out here in the world!
